As Print Project use high quality materials for all of their printing work any price matches would not be a like for like match. How will my order be printed?
We use state-of-the-art Heidelberg litho press with hybrid screening for ultimate in quality. There are no exceptions when do not use cheap digital printers! All our products are printed using four colour process (CMYK). This enables you to use as many different colours as you like for no extra cost, however, we are unable to offer Pantone or spot colour printing (see the upload guide for Pantone colour matching).
Business Cards
Our Business Cards (85 x 55mm). They can be either landscape or portrait, single or double sided. Our standard Business Card material is a 400gsm FSC silk coated board with matt lamination for superior quality and feel. We have a selection of Business Card designs for you to choose from.
Letterheads and Compslips
Our Letterheads (210 x 297mm) and Compliment Slips (210 x 99mm). Both can be printed on one or two sides. Our standard Letterhead and Compliment Slip material is a 120gsm FSC uncoated, unwatermarked smooth white bond. It is also guaranteed for use on laser printers.
Leaflets and Flyers
Our Leaflets and Flyers are A5 (148 x 210mm) or A4 (210 x 297mm). They can be either landscape or portrait. Our standard material is a 170gsm FSC silk coated stock.
Is there any advertising on your products?
Print Project will never add our own advertising to your printing. When you hand someone a business card or a leaflet about your company it should communicate information about your company, not ours.
What is FSC paper/board?
The FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components: Forest Management and Chain of Custody certification. This system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use timber and forest products produced from well-managed forests.
The Forest Stewardship Council’s “tick tree” logo is used on product labels to indicate whether products are certified under the FSC system. When you see the FSC logo on a label you can buy timber and other wood products, such as paper, with the confidence that you are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests.
If you are uploading your own artwork to be printed on any of our products then there are some important steps you must take in order to make sure your print work comes out perfectly. The following is a template for ensuring best practice when using our printing service. We will use business cards as a common example.
When uploading your custom business card printing design, make sure that the business card graphic is in one of the following formats:
- Adobe Acrobat Document (*.pdf) (recommended)
- Adobe Illustrator/Freehand Artwork (*.eps)
- Adobe Photoshop Image (*.tif)
- JPEG Image (*.jpg,*.jpeg)
- PostScript File (*.ps)
The reason these file formats are most preferable for printing your business card design is due to the colours that can be used in the design. The above image formats allow for higher resolution printing, allowing for more detailed logos and artwork to be used on your cards. Some of the file formats require specialist software, therefore we have included JPEG formats so all UK computers are able to use our business card printing service.
The following dimensions are used for business card printing:
- Full Bleed Size: 91mm x 61mm
- Document Trim Size: 85mm x 55mm
Full Bleed
Full Bleed refers to the outer edges of the business card. Full Bleed would be classed as a business card design that has no white space framed around the edge. If you do not wish a white frame around you business card then it is important that you make sure the background image used on the card stretches to the above dimensions.
Document Trim Size
Trim lines are the finished size of the business card after it has been cut to size. The business card is cut close to the trim line, but because of the mechanical nature of printing, the actual cut can happen anywhere between the bleeds and the safe margin. This is why it is important to keep your text and important images within the safe margin.
